Selles the time is now!
Hello guys. Welcome to my new blog. In this blog I am going to be writing my thoughts over the 2025/2026 season. We will also ask question's on X, Facebook, and also Blades forums and will hopefully gain interaction and answer your questions on here!
Selles my thoughts:
My thoughts on the appointment of Ruben Selles. I in my opinion think that this will either be a make or break season for the new owners. Even though they have only been in charge of the club since December this could make up fans views on them very quickly. Sacking Sir Chris Wilder, could either be a make or break decision for them. My opinion: I think we needed change, yes i am the biggest Chris Wilder fan and would like to thank him for what he has done for our club not just on the pitch but off it to. We wouldn't be where we are today without him. He has laid certain foundations, making us a 'modern club' we was lingering in League One when he came and look where we are now. Fighting at the top end of the Championship and flirting with the Premier League consistently. 9th in the Premier League imagine what could of been!!!
Selles : My opinion on Ruben Selles, i think we will see a better style of football next season. I was shocked how defensively we played last season and was shocked after the exciting, thrilling football Chris use to play for years whilst he was here! Selles, i think will go back to that football that Wilder use to play. Maybe not the 3-5-2, overlapping centre backs formation but will definitely see a high pressing entertaining games next season. I think we will see a lot of 4-3 score lines next season (hopefully in our favour). The players will need to be fit and i think Gus (if he stays) will flourish under this system along side Callum O'Hare. This season has a lot of promise and hopefully we will see some good competitive games next season and some 2/3 goal wins instead of the 1-0's we was so use to this season.
All i have left to say is thank you Chris Wilder and Alan Knill long live the king!
And let's back RUBEN! UTB!
